Now beginning his practice in Canada, Dr. Omage is excited to join West Guelph Medical Clinic and to serve the Guelph community. Dr. Michael Njuma is a highly experienced Family Physician committed to delivering compassionate, comprehensive, and culturally sensitive primary care. He holds certification in Family Medicine from both the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) and the Royal College of General Practitioners in the United Kingdom (MRCGP), bringing extensive international clinical experience to his practice. At West Guelph Medical Clinic, Dr. Njuma provides community-focused, high-quality care across the lifespan. His clinical interests include the management of chronic medical conditions, women’s health, men’s health, children’s health, care of older adults, musculoskeletal conditions, and minor surgical procedures. He places a strong emphasis on preventive care, continuity, and shared decision-making to support patients throughout their health journeys. Dr. Njuma is also deeply engaged in medical education and leadership. He has served as a clinical and educational supervisor for physicians in training in the UK and has held leadership roles within the NHS, including serving as a Clinical Lead. His background in clinical research and experience across urgent care, emergency medicine, community hospitals, and long-term care settings further strengthens his comprehensive approach to patient care.
Dr. Andriy V. Samokhvalov is the Lead Psychiatrist for the East Guelph Family Health Group, supporting both West Guelph Medical Clinic (WGMC) and its sister clinic, East Guelph Medical Clinic (EGMC). He also serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at McMaster University. With over 20 years of clinical and academic experience, Dr. Samokhvalov specializes in preventive mental health, social determinants of health, and measurement-based care. His approach includes comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, individualized treatment planning, and the integration of lifestyle strategies, psychotherapy, and optimized medication management.
Alexander Mathew is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), bringing over 20 years of experience in mental health, behavioral sciences, and organizational development. As part of the East Guelph Family Health Group, he supports patients at both West Guelph Medical Clinic (WGMC) and East Guelph Medical Clinic (EGMC). Alexander has served in diverse roles including clinician, educator, leadership coach, and organizational consultant, with a strong focus on supporting mental well being in both personal and professional settings. He uses an integrative, trauma informed approach, drawing from evidence based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and others. His personalized, client centered approach ensures therapy is tailored to each individual, helping them move toward healing, growth, and improved well being.
Dr. Muadh Tajudeen serves as the Lead Physician and Medical Director of the East Guelph Family Health Group, which includes both West Guelph Medical Clinic (WGMC) and its sister clinic, East Guelph Medical Clinic (EGMC). Although Dr. Tajudeen does not practice at WGMC, he plays a key leadership role in guiding clinical standards and ensuring that West Guelph Medical Clinic delivers the same high-quality, patient-centered care that East Guelph Medical Clinic is known for. Dr. Tajudeen holds certifications in Family Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) and the Royal College of General Practitioners in the United Kingdom (MRCGP), bringing extensive international experience to his leadership.
